Analytics — how the customizer is performing

The Analytics page — customised orders and revenue, the shopper funnel, template performance, artwork generation health and AI usage, and how to read each card.

Analytics in the app's left navigation shows how the customizer is performing for your store. Pick a period at the top right — Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days — and every card updates.

The headline tiles

  • Customised orders — paid orders containing at least one customised item, with the item count underneath.
  • Customised revenue — the value of those customised lines.
  • Surcharge revenue — how much of that came from per-side surcharges.
  • AI generations — how many AI actions shoppers took, and the share of orders (or carts) that used AI.

Each tile shows the change against the previous period. Below them, Customised revenue charts revenue per day.

Cart and conversion tiles

  • Designs added to cart — how many designs shoppers added.
  • Cart → order conversion — orders divided by add-to-carts.
  • Design revisions — designs edited from the cart before checkout.
  • Post-order edits — designs you edited after the order.

Shopper funnel

Four steps: Opened the customiser → Started designing → Added to cart → Ordered, with the percentage moving between each step and the share of opens on mobile. A big drop between "Opened" and "Started designing" usually means the template is confusing on first sight; a drop before "Added to cart" points at the review step or pricing.

Opens count when shoppers launch the customizer. Designs made directly on the product page (embedded layout) count from their first edit.

What shoppers design

Average counts of images, text, stickers and backgrounds per design, plus how many shoppers used their own upload, an AI image or AI text. A badge counts carts where the shopper confirmed out-of-bounds artwork — designs that extend past the printable area. Check those orders before printing.

Products missing a template

Products where shoppers clicked Customise but no template is assigned, with click counts. The button leads nowhere on these. Assign a template in the builder's Products tool, or remove the theme block from that product template. The Home page shows the same list as a warning banner.

Template performance and top orders

  • Template performance — carts and revenue per template.
  • Top customised orders — the highest-value customised orders in the period, with item count and surcharge.
  • When shoppers customise — a day-by-hour heatmap of add-to-carts in your store's timezone. Useful for timing support cover and promotions.

Artwork generation

A health card that shows Working or Needs attention, with counts of jobs queued, stuck for more than 30 minutes, or failed, and a Review orders link. If it says Needs attention, open Orders, filter by Failed, and see Orders and order files.

AI tool usage

Counts per tool — Background Removal, Text Generation (Word Art), Image Generation, Style Transfer (Style Remix) and merchant asset generation. For costs, see AI usage and billing.

Good to know

  • Analytics counts customised items only. A non-customised product in the same order isn't included in revenue.
  • Data starts from the version that introduced Analytics (August 2026). Earlier orders don't appear in the trend.
